I started with computers way back when Fortran programming was a thing. I got my first engineering job because I could tickle the keyboard and punch in a bunch of GOTO 10 commands. Nowadays, I only sporadically play with code and I have a tendency to forget exactly what I did a few weeks (or even a few hours) back.
I started writing how-to recipes on scraps of paper and stickies. Some notes were stored in an ancient version of Evernote. I eventually migrated online to have better access across computers.
Originally, the site was powered by WordPress with the WP-Forge theme (not updated for a few years). The biggest tool to created content offline was the depredated Windows Live Writer 2012 (fantastic program).
As time went on, it got to be too much of a pain to update the site. I went back to local notes with an added twist of using Markdown.
Since most of my notes are in Markdown, I figured I could easily put them online using a .md website creator. Over a week later and some failed attempts with MKDocs and Docusaurus, I ended up making a clone using the static website generator Hugo. Then, five years later… the site was converted. 🙂

Everything here is constantly under development, so the logo using the rough WC Roughtrad seems appropriate. The original font link was updated as the old line now goes to a sexting guide.
